Dr. Lueth is an Everett, Washington native who graduated from Everett High School and the University of Washington. Following two years of research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Washington, he completed his medical training and ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University. While in Washington, D.C., Dr. Lueth also studied at the National Eye Institute of NIH, where he worked with pioneers of ophthalmic laser surgery. At the completion of his training, Dr. Lueth lived in Haiti for three months, where he provided eye surgeries and medical treatments to the poor. He brought with him donated lens implants and medications, which were used to save the sight of countless Haitians.
Dr. Lueth returned home to Everett in 1987, where he founded Pacific Eye Associates and practiced independently for 7 years. In 1994, he brought his practice to Physicians Eye Clinic. Dr. Lueth is an accomplished laser surgeon who is certified on numerous lasers including the Nidek®, Fraxel®, and Candela V-Beam®. He enjoys cataract and LASIK surgery, eyelid surgery, Botox® injections, and providing general ophthalmic care.
Dr. Lueth and his wife, Beverly, have raised 3 children in Everett—Brianne, Alex, and Chelsea. The family has been actively involved with Everett Rowing, where Alex and Chelsea have competed in crew at the national level. The family enjoys music and, during high school, the eldest daughter Brianne placed first in state in the competitive soprano category. She then charmed an audience of 65,000 with her performance of the National Anthem prior to a Seahawks-vs-Dallas football game.
When he’s not in the office, you might find Dr. Lueth riding his mountain bike or boating in the San Juan Islands with his family. He enjoys a very productive vegetable garden and maintains a small home orchard of dwarf fruit trees. Dr. Lueth is a season ticket holder to the Everett Silvertips and is a home theater movie fan.
